Prayer

Welcome to the Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church online prayer website.  A group of prayer warriors pray over requests that come through the mail, e-mail, or by telephone.  We invite you to share your prayer requests here.  It would be a privilege for us to pray with you and to bring the request before the Throne of God.  Your request will be held in confidence, not posted on our website, or published in any other way, and will be seen only by our prayer warrior participants.

Thoughts on Approaching God in Prayer

1. When you come before God, ask Him to quiet your heart and give you peace.

  • 1 John 14:27  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your     hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

2.  Ask God to examine your heart for any unknown sin and confess it before him.

  • Psalm 66:18   If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.

3.  Ask the Holy Spirit to direct your prayers.  Prayer is just as much listening as it is talking.

  • Romans 8:26  And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness.

4.  When you pray be specific and believe that God will answer.

  • Hebrews 11:6  And without faith it is impossible to please god, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

  • 1 John 5:14-15  This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

5.  End your prayer time with thanksgiving for His faithfulness and for hearing our hearts cry.

  • Psalm 6:9  The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayers.

  • Psalm 116:1  I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications.
